Yes, it’s all about the yarn!

Hi, I’m a knitter and I have too much yarn! Sounds like the first step in an addiction class, does it not? I figure it’s the standard introduction to anyone, fully own up who you are and what you are.

Personally, I don’t think you can have too much yarn, there is no such thing on this planet or even in this galaxy. Being a knitter, I find yarn comforting. It’s warm in the winter, some types can be cooler in the summer, it always gives you something to do (boredom is never an issue) and it adds color to your house.

Am I obsessive about my hobby? I don’t think so, although others would disagree. I don’t eat, sleep or breathe all about yarn. Okay, I do admit to if I’m on vacation, I will scout out the yarn shops. They may have something I’m not getting at my local yarn supplier. There is no crime in that, now is there?

I don’t knit as much as some people I know. I do knit daily though. I tend to knit more when watching a movie or listening to an audio book rather than just the radio. I think the radio is reserved to geeking out on the computer (the other “hobby” in my life).

I have another blog at another place. I’m checking out wordpress to see if I like it or not. So far, I’m loving it. It’s really rather nice. If it works out, I might actually invest and purchase a whole spot of my very own. I used to have a “spot” but gave it up because of financial burdens in the real world as opposed to my virtual world where the whole world revolves around yarn and computers.
