Imagine my surprise
To find two balls of Koigu in my yarn stash!! I didn’t even know I had it. Heck, at the price of it, I seriously doubt I bought it. So, the question is did the yarn fairies bring it? I don’t remember getting any from a secret pal or anyone?
Oh well, I’m not one to look a gift in the mouth, so naturally I cast on for a new pair of socks right away. How convienent that I finished a pair just today! Oh my! I must have done something good for my karma to gift me with such a wonderful surprise.
I wonder if the whole weekend will go this well?
And I have pictures of the Opal socks that were finished just in time to cast on for the Koigu’s.

Look at this stitch definition! Go me!

Can one die from desire?
I want to play with the new Ravelry site so badly that I can’t even play my Sims2. All I think about is all the cool stuff it will be doing and how much it will help in my quest for knitting and keeping track of what I have.
Curse them for teasers and staying in beta forever. Normally I love beta, but then, I’m usually a beta testers for almost everything on the planet. I actually played with Windows 95 before it ever even saw the light of day! Yeah, I know. I played with The Sims before it debuted (my crowning achievement in life). I’ve also been a “see the fall preview” before anyone else and “what did you think of it” tester. I got to play with Gmail, Googlel Docs/Spreadsheets/Orkut and a few other toys first as well.
I’m used to being on the of the cool kids…it sucks being not picked to play. I think I’m going to go sulk in my yarn stash for a bit. I don’t even feel like knitting now.
