Fun times were had by all, except the cats.
I spent the better part of the day with Ms. Lana. We traipsed over to Fabric Depot to have a hunt for fabric. They are having their outdoor sale where everything is 5.00 a yard and under! The place totally rocks!
We went back to lana’s and had “sewing 101″ today. I explained about the grain and bias of fabric and how you can use the selvage edge for perfect matching. We also discussed making patterns out of tissue paper so that you can make adjustments and such. Since Lana didn’t have tape, we didn’t get to do any drawing or adjusting today. I think that is for Thursday. I have to remember to take tape with me!
We stopped and grabbed Templar (I don’t like to leave him alone to long, his box gets boring, I think). Lana’s cats had the proverbial hissy fits! Her cat Pixie is just downright mean. Poor Templar, I was worried he was going to get a complex. My main concern is where Ford will box him with no claws, Pixie has all of them drawn out. No that Templar would have done anything, I was more worried about him getting clawed or something. He seems unaffected by it at the moment. Next time we go over, I’m taking Maggie too. Pixie is terrified of Maggie. LOL
Hannah seemed to enjoy Templar though. All kids need a puppy or a dog. Cats are great creatures, they just don’t match a canine for companionship. I do love my babies though.
As for me, I’m off to grab a shower, we will have no water here tomorrow, the apartments are working on something with the water lines. I’m going to make sure we have a tub full of water for necessities sack. And I’m going to make sure I have water put by for the babies. With this heat, they have been going through a bowl or two a day. I’m also off to work on some crochet…I’m still working on that granny square thing..(thanks for the help Lana!).
I have gotten ZERO housework done today! Nothing, nada, zip. Oh well, I’ll work on it Wednesday
