Whine + wine = Me!
I’m whiney today! In fact, I’m extremely whiney today (be glad you weren’t here). So, today, I put drops in my ear, laid down, cursed the doctor to the point of his birth, cooked dinner, washed up, picked up after the dog..three times, put more drops in my ear, took several pain relievers (found the magic combination), attempted to play the sims, had a nosh and whined the whole time!
I’m a crappy patient. I don’t even feel like knitting or crocheting. Oh, I did find one that I could manage quite easily. I love the “shell pattern”! It totally rocks. I did discover that crocheting takes up enormous amounts of yarn! Definitely not the craft for the pricey stuff, I save that for knitting! At the rate I’m going, I’m going to have an afgahan quickly. I still can’t do a granny square nor can I read some patterns. There should be a rule book on pattern writing. Some of the abbreviations make no sense nor can I find what they mean anyplace. I can only surmise that the author created it, thinking “oh, this is super simple to figure out”. Well, let me be the first to say, “it’s not that easy, please speak in simple plain crochet terms”! So, when I see a pattern like that…I just skip it! I have enough trouble figuring out the ones that make sense.
I’m much better at “pattern” squares rather than the fancy rounds/skip this/double here ones. I love the ones that are solid pattern. I think I’ll stick to those for a bit. I can just make squares like that, it will work the same way, right?
So, I’m bitchy, whiney and pissy…oh, aren’t I just the proverbial ball of fun. The only bright spot in the day is Ford, Maggie and Templar, they amuse the hell out of me!
I love Google Calendar
It so reminded me that I have a crochet class tonight! Yipes…it totally slipped my mind!
Learn to Crochet?
Once again, I’m attempting to learn to crochet. It’s not a horribly difficult concept, just one I can’t seem to pick up and retain. I mastered the single crochet long ago and have literally made tons of blankets from that one stitch. It is, however, time to move on with my skills. I’ve wanted to crochet different things for years now, just haven’t sat down and really worked at it.
The lovely crafty ladies over at “Crafty Daisies” (namely, Heather) are going to offer “learn to crochet” classes online! Yippee! So, between college classes starting up, Wardrobe Refashion starting up and crocheting lessons, my summer promises to be anything but boring.
