Yes, some things stay the same

Podunk is the same as it was back on January 3,2006, the day I left.  The stores are the exact same, the people look the same, nothing has changed.  Weird.  Oh, there is a Carl’s Jr now and a Taco Del Mar!  Whoo Hoo!

I look around and I find it hard to believe that I actually lived here.  I was hurting this morning about 1:30am…there is no Starbuck’s here, much less one open 24 hours a day.  Yes, I’m spoiled rotten.

On the knitting side of life, I worked on my sock while N played some really gorey xbox game!  It was rather funny as he kept getting himself killed off! LOL!   The sock was way  more productive.  We also watched “Night at the Museum”.  If you haven’t seen it, buy it.  If you did see it in the theater, buy it!  It totally rocks like there is no tomorrow.  Yeah, it’s kind of “corny” in parts but that is because it is a Ben Stiller movie.  If you have ever been in a museum,  you will have wonder what happens at night and what would it be like if everything came alive?  It was pretty much as I pictured it.This is definitely on my list of “must owns”.

So, now, I’m off to run a couple of errands and then it’s off to the freeway again.  Oh joy….another long drive, but holidays are like that.
